Benefits To Learn to Play Guitar with Online Guitar Lessons

A smart thing to do before buying a product is to ask people around about it. To find guitar lessons is the same. It is important to browse on the web to find information about guitar learning methods, just like you are doing right now.

The guitar courses online have a lot of good qualities that help the beginner guitar player to start from zero, and we are going to see what the pro and cons are of taking online lessons. It is always a great idea to do a little research before making a decision, that way we get a better idea of what to expect if you download jamorama.

1. Saves a lot of money. Video Lessons online are a powerful money saver in comparison of hiring a personal tutor or joining a music academy to get classes. Yes, the teaching is face to face in a school or with a tutor, but the price is indeed more expensive.

2. Saves a lot of time. When you have the guitar lessons at your disposition in a dvd, it really comes in handy. For example, you do not need to sit around for the tutor to come to your house or if you are getting classes at a music academy, you don’t have to go anywhere.

3. You have the chance to practice at your own speed. If you decide to go to an academy of music to learn guitar, there will be other students, and there is normally one or two persons that learn faster than others, it could happen that the teacher moves to the next level of the course when you haven’t completed the lesson yet. It’s a chance.

4. You get to chose when and where you get your lessons. This is actually one of the best characteristics that online lessons have, you only need a computer and an internet connection and you are ready to start learning at the time of the day that is more convenient to you. You do not have to adjust to someone else’s schedule.

What are the cons?

1. You need to be self-motivated and serious. Since you will be the only responsible of your guitar teaching, you need to have motivation to avoid being frustrated or bored, meaning that you will not have a teacher keeping up with your progress. Now, this could even with a teacher, to lose discipline; because either way you need to make time to practice on your own.

2. Move to fast and get frustrated. It could be that you fell overconfident about your progress and move to a more difficult lesson that will make you get stuck. Or it could be the other way around: move to slow and get bored. A private teacher knows when the right time to move to a harder level is. To avoid this, try to master one lesson at a time.

To start playing guitar is a very smart choice, you do have to put effort on it, but it’s an effort that leaves you with satisfaction of doing something you really enjoy. Have a happy learning.

Online Guitar Courses – What you Get

There are usually 2 ways to start learning guitar, Online and Offline. Probably 10 or 15 years ago this was not the situation. Back then it was necessary to find a teacher willing to teach guitar or, we could have joined a music institute, which is still a great idea to learn how to play guitar if time and money are not an issue.

Now, if you choose to learn guitar with Jamorama, it is a fact that you will wonder what to expect from a video course. Well, in my opinion, this courses are very complete, of course, there are many methods out there, and more than often there is not just one top program, but there are quite a few that can actually teach you to play guitar.

You can expect, from these video lessons, very specific and very good explanations about the technique you are learning. For example, if you are learning a lesson about Tuning Up your guitar, the video will explain you very slowly how to do it, and it is goint to repeat, within the lesson, how to do it. And here comes the best part, let’s say that you do not want to see the explanation again, you just move ahead and your tutor won’t get angry.

Another plus that guitar lessons online give, is that you improve more quickly than if you join a music school, because your improvement will not be based on the slowest person in the class. The problem is that by not having a personal teacher, you won’t be able to ask a question and get an answer right away, however, almost all of these courses offer 24/7 support, to get a professional answer from an expert.

When learning the guitar online you not only determine what videos to skip and what lessons to take over and over, based on the results you see. Now, the idea of having a method is to stick to it, but since you have to be self motivated, you are able to decide what lessons to do, this way, you will not get bored. That being said, that is in fact a common problem when starting to play guitar. Once or twice people try to move too fast, that they get frustrated and quit.

Usually this type of courses are divided in beginners, intermediate and advanced lessons; I do not know if all of them are like this, I have not tried them all yet, but, the ones I have had the chance to work with are indeed a powerful tool to learn how to play and to improve my techniques.

So, you get very detailed explanations, friendly support, you get to learn at your own speed, and probably the best part for many people, you do not have to move from your home to get them. I never get tired of saying this, it is really crucial to practice every day, especially when you begin to learn. Good luck and have a nice day.

Let’s create a small time chart so you can have a clue of how your improvement with the guitar could be after you choose to take this road.
1 – 3 Months: in this small amount of time you will be able to play easy songs such as Wonderwall by Oasis. Songs like the one mentioned do not require much knowledge; you only need to learn the basic chords to play it. You are off to a good start.

3 – 6 Months: In this part of the chronogram, you´ll find yourself able to play more difficult songs; you will be able to apply techniques like hammer-ons and pull-offs. At this point, you already feel very one with your guitar.

6 Months – 1 Year: At this point you will practice songs that have more difficult riffs and arpeggios. The rhythm guitar of Pantera and Megadeth come to my head, that is because I’m a fan of them, but they do have some good songs to practice your new skills.

2 – 3 Years: Now you can start to learn new techniques; for example, if you haven’t yet, you could start practicing the blues, or you could also start to learn jazz guitar. If it was me, I would rather learn Jazz, because you do learn a lot about improvisation. Look up in Youtube for Tomo Fujita to get a better idea of how you could end up playing.

3 – 5 Years: To be practicing for five years… you could probably play just about any song you want. You will find yourself wanted by other people to be in their band as the lead guitar. After learning guitar for five years, probably you are going to have over three guitars; an acoustic, an electric and an electro-acoustic. At this point, you are unstoppable.

After that, you’llyou will find out that there is still a lot to be learned. As I said before, playing guitar is a never ending process. Of course, you need to practice many hours, you will not be able to play guitar overnight. I would think that to achieve a nice level of guitar playing it could take about half a year. Great Songs To Learn Guitar Online

What are some good songs to learn guitar fast? There are some that I can recommend. It seems very obvious that it is needed for you to start learning guitar with easy songs but sometimes we like a song so much that we want to start to play it right away, it is not the common scenario, but it happens.

That being said, the best thing you have to do is to begin with easy songs, popular songs. If you analize it, a reason why these songs are popular most of the time is due to the fact they are easy. If you begin with easy songs, you won’t feel frustrated and you will be more comfortable with your Guitar.

With a guitar learning software, your progress will be more powerful. Read this Jamorama Review to see what you will get.

A song that I like very much and was one of the first songs I learned is KNOCKIN’ ON HEAVEN’S DOOR, by Bob Dylan. This song is pretty easy, you only have to know four notes: G, D, C and A minor or Am (most commonly known).  What can be hard here is to change from one chord to another, meaning that at first, you will not be going from G to D for example very quickly, but with a little practice you will dominate this song very likely in less than seven days.

KNOCKIN’ ON HEAVEN’S DOOR is a great song to practice the rhythm, the movement of your right hand (if you’re not left handed of course).
Another song that is very easy to play and fun to play is Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver, It actually plays the same chords than the other song we were talking about, it only changes one chord. Instead of Am you will need to play Em. The difficulty level is really the same; the only significant difference is that this song is a little bit faster than Bob Dylan’s song.

Now, if you are like me and like punk rock songs, The Ramones have a lot of songs that are very easy to play, like Blitzkrieg Bop, one of my favorites. In fact for this type of songs, you do not even have to know all the chords, you just have to play the Power Chord.
What is the Power Chord? Well, it is a chord that you can do in every fret getting a different note. For example, to get the G note, you put your index finger on the sixth string on the third fret, your ring finger on the fifth string on the fifth fret and your pinky finger in the fourth string on the fifth fret, below your ring finger.

Once you master the Power Chord, you can learn a lot of punk rock songs from bands such as Green Day, The Ramones, Blink 182, The Offspring… You get the Idea.
To practice the Chords, Here is a good list of songs that you can learn:
1. Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver

2. Free Falling by Tom Petty

3. Yellow by Coldplay

4. Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson

5. Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynard

6. Clocks by Coldplay

7. Teardrops On My Guitar by Taylor Swift

8. Lost by Coldplay.

9. Realize by Colbie Caillat10. You’re Beautiful by James Blunt

Remember, the key to play guitar is practice, so practice, practice and then practice some more. Learn one song first, and then move on to the next one. Good luck and I’ll see you on stage.

Start to Learn The Guitar Online If You Are Over 40

Is it possible to learn the guitar online if I’m over 40? The answer is YES. Is it more difficult for me? Not really.  A lot of men have the wrong idea that to learn the guitar online you need to be some teenager  that has a lot of time or some unemployed guy living out of some trust found or something like that.

Yes, if you got a lot of time available it is not difficult. But the truth is when you really want something, you will get it, but of course, you already knew that.   As a matter of fact, I remember on a book written by Napoleon Hill that the really productive years for men and women are between 40 and 60 years old.

This is great news for everyone who wants to grab a guitar and start learning at the age of 40 or more. First thing you need to have is motivation. When you like what you do it usually comes alone. You don’t need to put any extra effort, because you have a lot of fun, and learning to play guitar is very fun.

Now, you have probably seen that the older you get, the more difficult it becomes to learn something new; and that is actually a fact sometimes like trying to learn a new language or to start a new career at the university. Picking up an instrument it can be a little bit more difficult if you are 40 than if you are a teenager, of course, but that doesn’t mean that it is impossible at all. The truth is that you will need to focus a little bit more than if you were a teenager.

This is when the best guitar courses online come in handy, you do not need to go from one place to another, and you do not need to pay large amounts of dollars to a private tutor. All you need is an Internet Connection and about one hour a day to practice. The practice is extremely important; it is what makes the difference between those who only know how to play one song from the ones to compose the songs.

My recommendation as a teacher who has been playing guitar for almost 13 years now is to take guitar classes, take the advice of the experts, and always have thirst for knowledge. A lot of people learn a song or two and stop learning, but let me tell you this, playing the guitar gives you a better perspective of music. Your senses are more educated to see and hear things that other people can’t.

So, if you believe that life turns into a routine after the age of forty, think again. It is the perfect time to start learning new things, meeting new people and more important than that, discover what you are capable of doing with a little bit of determination and a little bit of practice. If you do not have a guitar yet, what are you waiting for?
